I’m not really against replicas because it is just clothing when it comes down to it. In my opinion, replica dresses are the same as knock off Coach purses. People are still going to buy them regardless as are people still going to buy the real thing. Replicas are not hurting Angelic Pretty, Baby, Meta, or any of those other major brands. They are still making bank at the end of the day.

Most of the people that buy replicas are either buying a hard to find print, getting a dress made in a custom way, or getting a dress to fit their measurements. By banning replicas you are telling them that they do not have a place in lolita, which is really disgusting. Its like you are trying to make them feel ashamed with what they spend their money on, which nobody has the right to do. It doesn’t matter if they waste their money on coke, fast food, porn, replica dresses, or brand dresses. They still have every right to feel welcomed and accepted in the lolita community. If you cannot do that then you honestly don’t deserve to be a part of the community.

Furthermore, before you start bitching about replica items take a look in your closet. Tell me how many Secret Shop shoes, Secret Shop socks, knock off AP purses, and other items you own. Those are replicas too, my dear. This also counts for all of your Taobao and fake Liz Lisa clothing items you own. So if you want to ban all replicas then that means that you need to stop buying/selling/wearing any of those items. Good luck with getting a pair of AP Tea Parties to last you as long as your secret shop ones.

i only buy ap and baby replicas (or second hand) because both have highly questionable business practices i don’t think deserve financial support
